3rd Annual Taste of Imperial Avenue Festival Returns on Friday


Taste of Imperial Avenue will be back for it’s third year on Friday, Aug. 2, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. for participants to dive into the unique food, music, and culture of Logan Heights.
The event is organized by the Logan Heights Community Development Corporation and the Greater Logan Heights Small Business Advisory Group to support the more than 20 local businesses that will be in attendance.
The highlight of the evening will be local restaurants representing the diverse neighborhood through special dishes. Some of these will include Colombian empanadas, Salvadorean pupusas, Vietnamese coffee and African American soul food and tacos.
Once guests have grabbed their selection of bites they can make their way to the beer garden to play games and sit by the main stage which will have local bands and artists performing. Breweries at the garden include Little Miss Brewing and Thorn Brewing.

For those interested in attending can purchase online tickets for the food tasting only ($30) or for food and beer garden access ($40) online.
The event will take place along Imperial Avenue from 19th Street to 31st Street. Check in for the beer garden will take place at the Gilliam Community Space, 2835 Imperial Ave., starting at 5:30 p.m.
