La Jolla Art Walk showcases Fashion Week San Diego designers

LA JOLLA – Fashion Week San Diego designers showcased their designs during Art Walk on July 11.

The event coincided with a Bastille Day-inspired celebration in La Jolla Village. Throughout the day, visitors took gallery strolls and the designers presented a special French-themed showcase.

Top designer MSTR STAG was featured at the Unscripted Spaces showroom. The architectural designer, Beatta J Collections, presented at L&G Projects. GFASH jewelry, styled by Angel Tan, was displayed at LIK Fine Art, and Elaine’s was shown at The Art Salon Gallery. The 2024 Top Designer, Caroline Willard Couture, was highlighted at L&G Projects at Sotheby’s Pacific Realty.

The event also served themed refreshments, had live music, and offered free admission to the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego starting at 3 p.m. Guests enjoyed gourmet chocolate, Champagne, sparkling Topo Chico, and charcuterie boards while viewing art throughout the galleries.

Fashion Photo SD and a team of professional photographers also joined Fashion Week San Diego for the occasion. They organized an impromptu editorial photo shoot with models casually modeling inside the galleries.

Looking ahead, SDFW will hold a Haute STEAM Workshops/Digital Tech event on July 19. This is a youth sustainability workshop for youths ages 13-19. Those interested can sign up at fashionweeksd.com.

On Aug. 8, FWSD will also hold Posh at La Plaza Runway from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Details and tickets are available on the San Diego Fashion Week website.

Thursday, July 24 – Her Universe 2025 Fashion Show at San Diego Comic-Con at 6 p.m. Actress Ashley Eckstein will host this “Wicked”-themed event at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego. Wristband/ticket distribution information will be released closer to the event.
