POSH fashion takes La Plaza in La Jolla Village

LA JOLLA – Fashion Week San Diego and the La Jolla Village Merchants Association brought POSH at La Plaza to La Jolla Village on Aug. 8.
Guests checked in at Thread + Seed, where they received stylish swag bags. There was a VIP hour offering refreshing drinks and light bites before the show. There were models, music by DJ Pink Gem, and plenty of fun shopping with unique ideas for gifting.
The outdoor runway show took place in the courtyard of La Plaza La Jolla and featured Fashion Week San Diego designers along with local businesses.
Mistress of ceremonies Andrea McClew – Mrs. Universe Alms 2025 – got the show rockin’ for the evening. Gwen Bates, director of FWSD, welcomed the crowd and thanked the sponsors for making this event possible.
The models stepped into the spotlight to a frenzy of lights and cameras. The runway featured Top Designer Mstr Stag along with Elaine’s and Angel Tan, who showcased the latest fashion trends. The audience was also treated to collections from FWSD designers Caroline Willard Couture, Beata J Collection, and Lizz Russell Collections.
La Jolla shops joined in, including Lucero Graham, SK8 Beach Cat Jewelry, and Shapes to Forms. Partner brands such as Charleston Shoe Co., J McLaughlin, GK Fashion House, and Robina brought their style to the show. Hammitt and Thread + Seed added extra flair to the catwalk.
Looking ahead, the official Fashion Week San Diego runway and trunk show will be held downtown on Oct. 4-5. Now celebrating its 18th year, FWSD continued to showcase exciting fashion talent. The runway shows are 18-plus, while the trunk event welcomes all ages. Tickets are available at http://bit.ly/3Hp4Aa0.
