Six restaurants in San Diego County made OpenTable‘s latest list of the 100 top restaurants in America, the reservation service announced this week.

Chicago boasted the most top restaurants with 10, while the Los Angeles area had eight and the San Francisco Bay area five.

The six San Diego venues are:

  • Addison by William Bradley, a fine-dinging restaurant at the Grand Del Mar with three Michelin stars to its credit.
  • Ceasarina, a Michelin Bib Gourmand-rated Italian restaurant in Pt. Loma.
  • Cowboy Star, a rustic chic steak restaurant in the Gaslamp.
  • insideOUT, an LGTBQ-owned urban oasis in Hillcrest.
  • Jeune et Jolie, an indoor-outdoor Michelin Star French restaurant in Carlsbad.
  • Youngblood, a speakeasy-style restaurant in the East Village.

OpenTable CEO Debbie Soo singled out Addison as one of the nation’s top restaurants in comments about this year’s list, along with venues in Chicago, Washington and San Francisco.

“This year’s Top 100 list reflects the breadth of restaurants on OpenTable – we’re very proud to see local hotspots like Akahoshi Ramen, alongside Michelin-starred spots like Addison By William Bradley and institutions like Old Ebbitt Grill and House of Prime Rib,” Soo said.

“We’re seeing a new age of dining out that is more adventurous than years past, evidenced by diners embracing midweek dining, dining solo or with large groups, or upping the ante with a dining experience,” she added.

OpenTable said the list of top restaurants was compiled by analyzing more than 14 million diner reviews, along with diner ratings, reservation demand, percentage of five-star reviews and other factors.
