Taste of College area returns Sept. 28 with trolley tours to every stop

Bring your appetite, the Taste of College Area is back for its second year on Sunday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The self-guided tasting tour features bites from local favorites, including Scrimshaw Coffee, SciEats, The Luau, The Mesa Bar & Grill, plus new spots showcasing the neighborhood’s growing food scene. Complimentary Old Town Trolley rides connect the stops along the route from El Cajon Boulevard and 54th Street to 73rd Street and the SDSU campus.
“This event celebrates the people and businesses that make the College Area so special,” said Jim Schneider, executive director of the College Area Business District. “It’s an invitation to Greater San Diego to come discover hidden gems and explore the diverse and eclectic culinary side of the College Area as never before.”
General admission is $40 in advance (plus a fee) or $45 on the day of the event. VIP tickets for ages 21+ are $50 and include discounted drinks at select bars, as well as a commemorative shot glass (while supplies last). Early bird promo codes—EARLY20 in July, EARLY10 in August—offer additional savings, with a 5% discount for groups of 10 or more.
